Drunk as champagne, flat on the floor,

How they simper and giggle and play.

Their love is such a terrible bore;

All one midsummer’s day.

Flat on my back in the room next door,

Here is where I shall stay,

And roll my eyes, and sigh my sighs,

And wish I were just the same!
